What are some high tech weapons?

Thanks for asking. While there are many worthy contendors from Apache Ah-64 Longbow,F-22 Raptor,9K720 Iskander,Ohio class submarines to T-14 Armata who are gamechangers in their own but the top 5 listed below edge out others as they are unrivalled or a technological marvel(atleast as of today)-

    1. Kinzhal Hypersonic Missile :

Developed by Russia , and in process Russia created a new club of missiles which travel at speeds of Mach (8–10) thereby making the modern day radars redundant. All it means is that if Kinzhal is fired no radar will be able to track/engage/intercept it . It has a range of 2000 kms which is no less than menacing for US.

The reason why this is a special weapons platform is that even a nation like US doesnt possess an equivalent of Kinzhal.

    2. RS-28 Sarmat aka Satan-2 :

A long range ballistic developed by Russia .

Boasts of global range i.e. it could hit any country on the world map at will. It is called Satan-2 because it can easily take out a chunk of land as big as Texas or the size of France with ease. Not to mention its radar evading capabilities making it lethal,it weights more than 200 tonnes (Meaning ability to carry greater payload) and travels at speeds in excess of Mach 20(How do you intercept something travelling at speeds in excess of 20 times the speed of sound ?)

    3. S-500 aka Prometheus:

A game changer with no competitor, developed by Russia. If S400 was not enough to create headache for NATO now there is a newer version of S- 400 Triumph called the Prometheus .It is being touted as better than S400 (range – 400 kms and upto 30 kms in altitude)in navigation and handling meaning it can engage any ballistic missile head on or tailed mode far more effectively .Its radar can detect and track aircraft, rotorcraft, cruise missiles, guided missiles, drones and ballistic rockets within the distance of 600km .Triumph/Prometheus are capable of neutralizing any threat within a span of few minutes .Also, these batteries are readily deployable and highly portable (rail or road alike).

No wonder its clientele includes nations like China,India ,Turkey. (Iran already uses S-300 batteries)

    4. Iron Dome :

Developed by Israel , it is an all weather air defense shield with a range between (4–70) kms. It can take out rockets, artillery fire with precision especially in densely populated areas.

    5. Brahmos aka PJ10 :

Developed jointly by India and Russian. Brahmos is a cruise missile with a range of 450 kms and a speed of mach 2.8. It has terrain hugging and steep dive capabilities which makes it absolutely impossible to track and destroy. Also, the torque or the kinetic energy it generates while hitting the targets is unsurmountable. Moreover it can be fired from deep sea, land or air alike.

Worth mentioning that plans are afloat to make a lighter version called Brahmos NG besides extending the range upto 800 kms at Mach 8 of the current Brahmos.

    6. MQ-9 Reaper Drones:

The most lethal drones till date the world has seen with real time reconaissance, gathering and surveillance capabilties besides being a weapon of choice for the US Army. It has a history, a history of knocking out high value targets.Of its multi role capabiltites perhaps the most striking aspect is that there is minimal risk of losing human life while operating this bird (pilotless) .

More could be less when it comes to describing this war machine of the US.

Almost all high value targets that the US has taken out in Afganistan,Pakistan, Yemen,Somalia,Iraq have been credited to these drones. It uses Hellfire missile which is its main stay besides lesser know radars & communication equipment which stands classified.

While there are many latest high tech weapons the above were listed here thanks to their impregnable performance at display.
